Winery Weddings are very popular in San Diego. San Diego’s wine country is home to a great group of wineries and vineyards. Each one I have had the chance to photograph has been gorgeous. Europa Village Winery in Temecula was a new venue for me and I was pleasantly surprised. I met with Abby and Nick a week prior to their wedding day at Europa Village to do a walk through and I was immediately excited for the wedding photo shoot. The vineyards were vibrant and green and there were so many great photographs, tons of doorways, walls, and gates. The grounds are filled with lush greenery and rolling hills covered in grape vines. The wedding day went off perfectly as going in I counseled Abby and Nick to allow plenty of time in the preparation stages. This time I feel that is a great time to get many of the portraits done. Once the bride gets her hair and makeup done is the perfect time to get some great shots of her and her bridesmaids before the heat of the day gets to us all.
The guys can't get left out!
After Abby and Nick’s quick first look we were off to the ceremony! The bridesmaids were gorgeous in lavender and the groomsman were dapper in gray suits with stylish striped purple bow ties. It was such a gorgeous ceremony with the vineyard as a backdrop. The skies were blue and the ceremony went off without a hitch. I love to attach a remote controlled camera to the alter when the couple is interested in getting a truly unique shot of their ceremony from an angle otherwise inaccessible.
Once the “I do’s” were said we walked the property with the newlyweds and the bridal party for some photos as the afternoon light was perfect.
Temecula is southern California's wine country so the fermented grape juice was flowing freely, cigars were being smoked, and the dance floor was going off.
I want to thank Abby, Nick, their families, bridal party and all of their amazing guests for this great celebration of love!
