Last month I had the honor of photographing Cristina and Jonathan's wonderful wedding. Cristina and Jonathan met while enjoying a night on the town at a PB staple, Typhoon Saloon. Cristina took a liking to Jonathan and asked one of his friends about him, from there they had their first date at Mamma Mia, an Italian restaurant in PB and after that they were inseparable. Fast forward a few years and it was time for them to tie the knot. I was so pleased that they chose me to photograph their big day! Cristina is a successful real estate agent here in San Diego and Jonathan works as a project manager for Siemens. While Cristina has never understood engineering like Jonathan does they share a love for wining and dining together. We traveled all around San Diego for their wedding, shooting at a few different locations. We started the day with some prep photos at the Hotel Indigo in downtown San Diego where the guys and gals got ready.
After some preparation shots of the bride and her bridesmaids and the groom and his groomsmen we took some shots around San Diego's Historic Gaslamp District with the bridal party and the soon-to-be newlyweds.
After some fun urban shots all around downtown San Diego, we headed over to Centennial Park in Coronado for the ceremony. This ceremony venue provides such an amazing view of the San Diego skyline over the water. It really gave the wedding a one of a kind backdrop.
Once the doves were released and the "I do's" were said, we couldn't leave this great location without some shots of the happy couple and their families.
Next up, we were off to the Ultimate Skybox downtown for the reception with another amazing view of San Diego. Once the DJ, Brandon got started the crowd let loose for a really fun and lively wedding reception.
I had such a great time photographing Cristina and Jonathan's wedding and I think we got some really cool shots :) I want to thank Cristina and Jonathan, their families, the bridal party and wedding guests for such an awesome event! I also want to give a big thank you to Amanda McPail from Creative Affairs for being so helpful and great to work with!
