Beth and Erich had a beautiful wedding in the suburbs of Chicago last spring. A cute little town called Joliet. I got to spend some time in Chicago prior to photographing their wedding. What a terrific city Chicago is. It's been in the news quite a bit lately as the most violent city in our nation, but luckily I didn't encounter any of that. I met friendly mid-westerners. After a few sunny days in Chicago, Beth and Erich's wedding day started off with inclement weather. In fact, we had snow flurries. The guys weathered the storm, and we were able to get some photos of them outside. The girls were having none of it, though. The rest of the photos were done indoors at Harrahs Resort in Joliet. Luckily, Beth had a really beautiful suite, so we could get some great portraits of the girls inside their room. The ceremony took place at Erich's family church just outside of Joliet. The reception was at the beautiful Patrick C. Haley Mansion with lots of great photo opportunities. The weather had mellowed by the time the reception started, so we were able to get some nice photos in and around the mansion. The party went off without a hitch, with plenty of dancing and cocktails for all. It was a wonderful day and a wonderful wedding that I was happy to be a part of. Thanks to Beth, Erich and their families for being so gracious throughout the day. Thanks again for checking out my blog.
All the best,
