When translated, La Jolla means "the jewel" and it really is the jewel of San Diego. As a photographer here in San Diego for the past 12 years, I do many photoshoots in La Jolla. It simply has the prettiest beaches, sea cliffs, and the bluest water in all of San Diego. Erica and Brian felt the same. They are both scuba divers and have had many dives right off the beach in La Jolla. Erica, a scientist, and Brian, an engineer, met in Downtown San Diego at Stout, which is one of the liveliest watering holes. Both hockey fans, they came together over libations and the Detroit Red Wings. Coincidentally, they are both from Detroit, but they relocated here to sunny San Diego for the weather and their careers. When they are not working, besides scuba diving, they enjoy hiking, yoga, traveling and Brian is a pretty good home-brew master. They honeymooned in Hawaii for, you guessed it, the great scuba diving. Brian proposed to Erica on a beautiful afternoon in Balboa Park. Soon after, they planned their La Jolla wedding. We started the wedding day off at the iconic La Valencia Hotel for preparation photos and portraits. The ceremony took place soon after at the La Jolla Bridge Club. The day was beautiful and sunny. Everyone in attendance was all smiles from beginning to end as the day was full of fun and love. I want to thank Brian and Erica for having me as their wedding photographer. It was a total honor and pleasure to be included. Enjoy some of these moments and thank you for checking out my blog.
All the best,
