The Crossings in Carlsbad is an awesome venue. It has such great views of the ocean from up on the bluff. The main reception room has beautiful light, and their staff is one of my favorites to work alongside. Maria and Peter reached out after they found me on the preferred vendors list at the Crossings and I am so happy that we were able to make a connection and I got the pleasure of photographing their wedding. It was an early luncheon wedding, so the preparation photos started really early. I met Peter in the lobby of the Sheraton Carlsbad hotel, which is across the street from the Crossings at 6:30 am. After photographing Peter, his groomsmen and Peter’s family, my assistant and I headed over to Maria’s room for her get ready photos. After photographing all of her details, the wedding dress went on, and WOW did she look beautiful. After some photos with her, her bridesmaids, and her family, it was time for the ceremony. I had never shot a wedding this early at the Crossings before, but the light in the morning ended up being awesome. After their beautiful heartfelt ceremony, we got some family and bridal party photos done. Then, Maria Peter and I jumped in the golf cart and headed for the elegant waterfall that the Crossings has become famous for. After some delicious food and drink at the reception, we said our farewells to Maria and Peter. It was an awesome day and I want to thank Maria, Peter, the bridal party, and their families for being so gracious to me and my team. All the best, Brett.
